The epoch-making celebration of two incredible decades marked by continual spiritual and numerical growth, dogged perseverance in the midst of vicious internal and external attacks, unexpected favours and awesome miracles, will be remembered for years to come. The Bishop and family of Amazing Love Assembly indeed had countless reasons for rejoicing.

Prior to the anniversary, one week had been set-aside for prayer and fasting. The Bishop had stated that he wanted nothing more than to rededicate the Ministry (and all it represented) to the God who had birthed and sustained it in love and faithfulness for twenty years. Covenant prayers were made as the Bishop led his people to acknowledge that this vital spiritual foundation for the celebration was a “crossing over” into a new era. A recommitment to uphold doctrinal purity, love, prayer and holiness would be impossible without God leading the way. During this holy convocation, the Bishop asked God for a sign of favour: good weather for the anniversary period. This was remarkable because the anniversary occurs during the peak of the rainy season. God honoured this prayer: all through the week-long event, the rains did not hinder activities in any way and on the anniversary day, the weather was perfect from morning till evening!

Notable about this 20th anniversary was the presentation of two more books authored by the Bishop. Spiritual And Truthful Worship (part of the series entitled Understanding The Spiritual World) and Evil Has An Expiry Date were joyfully received. Another powerful feature was the God-inspired emphasis on testimonies. Each gathering was impacted by the thought-provoking, stimulating and sometimes heart-rending sharings of those who had been members for different periods of time. It was as though God was making a personal statement about how real He is and how able to touch lives for good when He is trusted. Typical of the Amazing Lovites, the songs of fellowships and branches as well as the praise and worship sessions were opportunities for creative dance steps and “doing something for the Lord.”

The messages, “Don’t Allow Your Past To Ruin Your Future” and “God Can Change Your Situation” were a great encouragement. The 20th anniversary was a sign to many that a new beginning had definitely been called forth by God for all who will walk with Him in sincere commitment. We thank Him for the privilege of having been a part of this wonderful time.
