For
three days, over 700 gathered at the Praise Temple, Enugu to be
part of this year's Passover Retreat. The branches and outposts
from Abakaliki, Okigwe, Nsukka, Ishi-Ozalla, Obosi and Ishiagu-Owo
were there. It was a refreshing time before God. Many came to
know Christ and the yokes of the powers of darkness destabilising
our lives were broken. |

The
retreat outline was given as:
- A:
Understanding the conflict (Understanding the spiritual
world)
- B:
Manifestations of the Powers of Darkness (e.g. reincarnation,
afflictions, stealing, witchcraft, wickedness, etc.)
- C:
How to Overcome (by the Cross)
- D:
Conclusion (Questions and Answers)
The
texts were Ezekiel 13:17-14:6; Genesis 3:20-24; 1 Kings
22:17-37. The nature of the conflict is spiritual. Things
happen first in the spiritual before they manifest in the
physical.
The
participants also celebrated the Holy Communion and about
80 candidates were baptised by immersion.
The
Resurrection Sunday had a three-pronged messages titled:
- Christians
and their responsibilities to their Pastors - Galatians
6:6; John 10:10-14.
- How
To Overcome The Powers of Darkness (continued) - Exodus
15:2-27
- Ressurection
Means Forgivness of Sins and Renewal - Acts 3:1-21; Luke
23:44-24:9.
The
2005 Passover Retreat will never be forgotten. Testimonies
of God's deliverances and opening of spiritual eyes abound.
